-- Common questions and answers --
Q: Is there Free Shipping?
A: yes. Free Shipping Is currently available on all orders.
Q: Does your soap SMELL strong?
A: No.
We use essential and fragrance oils, and after being properly cured the scent is mild and pleasant, but never too strong or overpowering.
The *Aged soaps are cured for 2+ years and are fragrance free. These types of soaps can be ideal for people with sensitive skin types.
Q: Do you have any Vegan soaps?
A: Yes.
All the vegan soaps contain NO animal products and are made from organic plant based oils, that are ethically and sustainably sourced.
Old-fashioned soaps: these soaps are made with natural plant-based oils and a lard, the old-fashioned way.
Q: Does the soap have lather?
A: yes, all the soaps lather wonderfully.
There are 2 kinds of lather: a "HIGH bubbly lather" like a coconut oil soap, and a "LOW creamy lather" that doesn't show as much bubbles and is more gentle and mild, like an aged Castile or Bastille soap.
Both kinds of lather clean equally.
The soaps are a mix of all natural oils with a calculated super fat so it lathers and cleans, without being overly cleansing or drying.
Q: Do you have any CHEAP soap?
A: No.
Department store soap is super cheap because it is filled with detergent chemicals. My soaps are made with expensive natural ingredients and could be considered a luxury item. But you are worth it, because the human skin is the body's largest organ and it deservers to be pampered.
One of the reasons why handmade soap is so much better for you is because it contains glycerin, glycerin is a humectant that draws moisture in. Glycerin is a natural byproduct of saponification. Each bar of handmade cold process soap contains 9-13% of pure glycerin.
Many of the larger corporations remove the glycerin from the cheaper soaps and sell it back to you in more expensive products and lotions! So this is just one of the reasons why you should buy handmade soap from your local soap makers. Support local, its good for the economy and your skin.
Q: How long will the soap last?
A: It all depends on how you treat it.
If you treat it like department store soap - 3 weeks.
But if you use a soap-saver and keep it out of the water - it could last for several months!
Q: Do I ship internationally?
A: NO. *All sales are for within the United States only.
Q: Do you accept returns?
A: No. Unfortunately We cannot accept returns because this is a hygiene item. But please contact us.
Q: Can you do a custom or wholesale order?
A: Yes

A brief history of soap and its lore:
"Soap" comes from saponification. When you mix animal or plant oils with lye water, it becomes soap. Once it has set up, it is unmolded, cut into bars and then cured for several weeks, or years.
Soap is believed to have originated 5,000 years ago at the base of Mount Sapo, where sacrifices were performed. The fatty oils mixed with the ashes (lye) and rain water, and the soapy substance was discovered.
Many believe the first soap makers were from ancient Mesopotamia around 2,000 B.C. Known as Aleppo soap, from Syria. Made from olive oil and Laurel Berry oil. It is also said Cleopatra herself had to have this popular soap, even though the Egyptians have been making soap since 1,200 B.C.
During the Middle Ages, the Crusades were traveling through Syria and discovered what they referred to as Turkish soap, and purchased thousands of these bars to bring back to Europe to help put an end to the Dark Ages. The Plague was literally washed away with soap.
When doctors started washing their hands and instruments before performing surgery in the late 1800's, the mortality rate dropped by 70%. Proving cleanliness is next to godliness. Soap is alchemy and it is powerful. It washes away germs, keeping death ☠️ and disease at bay for centuries now.
Treat yourself to the better side of soap.
